RECOMMENDED USE
Sprinkle 1-2 slightly heaped teaspoons (this corresponds to approx. 5-10 g) daily over meals or stir into a smoothie. The recommended daily consumption amount should not be exceeded. Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Mushrooms - the Very Special Organisms
Mushrooms typically thrive in the shade of forests and grow on the ground as well as on trees, such as the Chaga mushroom. Biologically, they are neither plants nor animals, but belong to their own group of organisms. Certain types of mushrooms, known as vital mushrooms, have been traditionally consumed for centuries in various regions of the world, especially in East Asia. Their use in cuisine and culture has a long history, particularly documented in countries like China, Japan, and Northern Europe.
Shiitake Mushroom
The Shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) is one of the most commonly cultivated edible mushrooms worldwide. It is also found growing wild in the forests of Japan. Today, the Shiitake mushrooms available on the market mostly come from controlled farms.
Maitake Mushroom
The Maitake mushroom (Grifola frondosa) can be found growing wild in the temperate forest zones of Asia, Europe, and Eastern North America, particularly in Northeast Japan. In recent decades, it has increasingly been cultivated in controlled environments.
Reishi Mushroom
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), also known as the glossy lacquer fungus, is a mushroom that is particularly prevalent in East Asia. The literature contains numerous pieces of information regarding the special properties of this mushroom. Many of the chemical substances that may be responsible for these properties, however, are still not fully researched.
Chaga Mushroom
The Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus), also known as the birch polypore, has a long tradition and is found in mountain forests in the northern and eastern parts of Europe and Asia. The black nodules, which can grow up to 40 cm wide, often form on birch trunks. Numerous scientific studies have focused on the ingredients of the Chaga mushroom, including polyphenols, triterpenes, and polysaccharides.
Cordyceps sinensis Mushroom
Cordyceps sinensis, also known as Chinese or Tibetan caterpillar fungus, is one of the most expensive and sought-after mushrooms in the world and has a long tradition of use. The mushroom contains the ingredient cordycepin as well as polysaccharides.
