Vitamin B12 - Significance and Sources
Vitamin B12 plays a role in metabolism and is important for various bodily functions.
Who needs Vitamin B12?
Every person needs Vitamin B12, but particularly in persons with special dietary habits such as vegans, vegetarians as well as pregnant women and older people, there could be an increased risk of inadequate intake. In such cases, supplementation may be sensible.
Foods with Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is found mainly in animal products such as meat, particularly in liver and kidney, as well as in fish, dairy products and eggs. People who do not regularly consume these foods could develop a deficiency.
Significance of Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is involved in important metabolic functions in all cells of the human body. Inadequate supply can cause various symptoms that are often not immediately associated with a deficiency. It is important to adjust one's own diet if necessary or to use a high-quality vitamin preparation.
Possible signs of an insufficient Vitamin B12 level
An insufficient Vitamin B12 level can make itself noticeable in various ways. Possible signs include, among others, exhaustion, concentration problems and a general feeling of weakness. Mood swings or cognitive difficulties could also occur. These symptoms are non-specific and can have different causes. Since the signs of a low Vitamin B12 level often occur gradually and can easily be overlooked, it is important to pay attention to an adequate supply of this nutrient. A balanced diet that includes Vitamin B12-containing foods such as meat, fish or dairy products can help to cover the need. In certain cases, such as for vegans or older people, supplementation may be sensible.
Individual practical experience with telomit® B12plus - Complex by Dr. Probst
A naturally beautifully healthy skin, healthy beautiful hair, healthy teeth, stable bones and well-functioning muscles is something virtually everyone wishes to possess, for these attributes stand for good looks and physical attractiveness. For this, an adequate supply of the right vitamins, in particular also various vitamins of the B group such as Vitamin B2, B3, B6, B7 is required.
Special characteristics of the telomit® B12plus - Complex by Dr. Probst
The telomit® Vitamin B12 plus - Complex by Dr. Probst is a carefully thought-out, sensible composition of Vitamin B12 and mutually supporting vitamins as well as magnesium, embedded in high-quality nettle powder. This special composition makes the B12plus Complex by Dr. Probst absolutely unique. In our telomit® B12 plus - Complex we use only the two bioactive B12 vitamins Adenosylcobalamin and Methylcobalamin, because only these two forms are immediately available to the body. However, in order to be able to develop its effect, Vitamin B12 requires folic acid. Folic acid is also called pteroylmonoglutamic acid or Vitamin B9. Conversely, however, folic acid also requires methylcobalamin, since in the case of a deficiency of Vitamin B12, folic acid becomes unusable in the body. So that adenosylcobalamin can fulfil its task of supporting the mitochondria – i.e. the powerhouses of the cells of our body – in their tasks, the body requires magnesium and biotin (called Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H), both of which are also contained in the telomit B12 plus complex. Already from this it becomes clear how important – especially in the case of malnutrition or nutritional deficiency – not only the sole administration of Vitamin B12 is. This vitamin can therefore best develop its full benefit for the body in combination with the mentioned vitamins.
